Why subscribe?

This is a spring-fed well of creative writing. I write fiction. Hardly anyone does: literary fiction, non-genre fiction, stories aimed at unfolding the solitary comedian with demons who rassles, numbers, and sews together from chaos. These characters are not just gay witch abortionists (hats off to the former band). They could be. Their quirks and inklings ride shotgun against their whole mortal lives. They belong to groups and they don’t. I’m saying, they are not fan-fiction, romance, queer, off-beat quirky, book club, chick lit, science fiction, crime, or up-market. God. I love reality. It kills me, and it’s going to kill me. I love stories rattling with real speech, with people looking for a moment’s salvation, a day’s forgiveness, a hayseed in a pile of needles. I’m so glad you found my work. I hope to have enticed you to check out a bit of it, to subscribe, and even pay me five bucks a month. But I’m just humbled, and happy you’re here for a bit.
