Well, I pulled down a post out of respect.
The subject of my second story balked at seeing her name in media again. She asked me to pull down a story I just did on her. It’s taken her three years since May, 2019 when it happened, to put her life back together, except for her teaching salary, and she cannot afford to lose another hourly paid job.
[___] lost her teaching career, reputation, and all future earnings potential when she quoted to her assistant principal that a black seventh grade girl said “fucking ni$$a” at her.
It took social media, the St. Paul teachers’ union, SPFE28, Superintendent Joe Gothard, two black thirteen year old girls, and horrific cowardice on the part of local journalists, and a now-CNN journalist, to twist the tale, and wreck her life.
If I could, I would file an amicus brief of defamation. Joe Gothard and human resources, SPFE28, NBC, and other local outlets all should be served: they had the power in 2019 to squash a baseless accusation and save a teacher’s life, or to ruin her life. They chose to ruin her life.
Once again her crime was repeating curse words.
She sent the TV station a year’s worth of hundreds of emails to her administrators that bolstered her appeal for behavioral support in regards to a black girl constantly running in and out of class and causing chaos. Did they interview her? Did they append her story?
No.
I have all the emails I exchanged with one particular, storied local LGBTQIA++-activist journalist who refused to do her job. They are damning emails. Her reporter has jumped to CNN. But as long as I need to protect my teacher friend, I will sit on those emails. The time will come eventually.
This case is not going away
