Sorry, I haven’t written here for a month. It’s unfair to you, unserious to me, and shows a lack of dedication. But I can explain. After producing and posting Ja’Quante, I was pretty worn out for two weeks. It took a lot of rewriting, editing, driving, shooting, and tinkering on my miniature iPhone, which, with my variety of corrective lenses, caused a lot of strain on my neck, which has been operated on twice. Yes, this is bitching, nothing more.
The other two weeks of delays pertains to the fact that my follow-up to Ja’Quante sucked. I wrote it in 2015 only because I liked Ja’Quante, and wanted to give a Ja’Quante-relaxing-at-home angle on a character like him. Forget it, it’s phony. It doesn’t live up. I had known enough about life at home for kids kicked out of school to write it and pull it off legitimately, but my product just sucked. That’s the bit of that.
So I’m skipping it and going on to number 35, about Stacie.
And now I figure, no one wants to hear what a writer goes through when he looks back on production and realizes one of his works “shanks it,” fails to thrive. It’s like, “Aw crikey, that’ll never do. Get back here, little sculpture, and I’ll smash you back onto the clay board.
Again, apologies to subscribers. You’ll like “Stacie” a lot, I think.
Visitors, ya get what ya get, and ya don’t throw a fit.
All, I will try to kick ass more often. A conscience, and shame, are terrible human qualities. I don’t recommend having a conscience. It cuts your output in half.
Cheers!
