I probably hosted 60 to 80 parent teacher conferences in 20 years at a rate of 3-4 per school year. It was a blast whipping up this odd parent interaction. I wanted it to appear endearing and awkward and cute. Sometimes families are weird and adorable and deserve cranking through some kind of fiction zoetrope. Did it come off as worthy? I don’t know.
